There is nothing better than a good steak! And the simpler, the better!
2 good quality steaks
Heat some olive oil in a heavy skillet until VERY hot.
Season the steaks with salt and pepper.
Place the steaks in the hot pan (have a lid handy to prevent the splatter!).
Don’t move the steak for a few minutes until the bottom has browned well.
Turn the steak over. Add the butter, thyme, rosemary, and garlic.
Cook the bottom well and then reduce the heat, keep covered, and cook until the steak is done. Turn it over frequently to coat both sides with the butter and spices.
